We understand how important entertaining can be and we stand ready to make your event memorable. All items are customizable and our professional catering staff will work closely with you to plan an event that is truly spectacular.

Whether it be a small intimate party, holiday social, business or military function, let us take care of your catering needs.

General Information

To begin the booking process please contact the Catering & Events Office for date and room availability based on the size of your event. Once a venue is decided upon, a signed deposit form is required to guarantee your reservation. Once your event has been booked an appointment can be set up with our Catering & Events Office to complete your event contract. Please remember, if you need to test equipment or have an event rehearsal it needs to be scheduled with the Catering Office one week in advance so that we can ensure that it does not conflict with other scheduled events. If an event is cancelled 30 days prior to the event date, a full refund will be given. Due to our geographic location some menu items and prices are subject to change.

Room Decorations
Decorations will need to be approved by management prior to the event date. Items left in the Family & MWR facilities are subject to disposal. To preserve our buildings, we do not allow nailing, tacking, or taping of objects on the wall, ceiling or any other Family & MWR facility property. The use of glitter, confetti or rice is strictly prohibited.

Liability

In accordance with AR 215-1 alcoholic beverages of any kind cannot be brought in or taken off Family & MWR facility premises by the host or their guests. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. All food and beverage must be provided by Family & MWR, with the exception of a specialty cake. Arrangements to bring in a specialty cake must be made in advance through the Catering & Events Office. Any costs associated with damages done to Family & MWR premises as a result of persons associated with the event will become the responsibility of the host.

Event Hosts are liable for any loss or damage of facility property or equipment as well as the conduct and behavior of all guests.  Damages will be billed to the Event Host at market replacement cost plus labor and inappropriate conduct or behavior of guests may result in immediate removal. The Camp Humphreys MWR Catering operation is unable to assume responsibility for damage to or loss of any merchandise or articles left or sent to the facility prior to, during, or following a client’s function.  This will also include any damages impacted by power outages to vendor equipment.  Clients need to arrange their own security when displaying exhibits or merchandise of high value.

If internet, additional electrical requirements, and non-Family and MWR equipment are used a hold harmless form will be signed by the event host.

Off-Site Catering

The Catering & Events Office offers off-site catering to other on post facilities. We also offer a variety of to go orders that can be picked up from our Family and MWR facilities. Please contact the Catering & Events Office for details.

Special Events Gate Access
For guest gate access for large events, the event sponsor will need to contact Pass & ID at DSN 753-6358/COMM 05033-53-6358.

Payment and Guest Counts

When you book your event, a 25% deposit is due within one week as well as a guaranteed minimum guest count is due. Due to product ordering timelines, the final guest count and payment are due by noon three days prior to the event. Once the final guest count is received it cannot be lowered by more than 10% or below the minimum guaranteed. Any balances that are accumulated during the event will be settled the first business day after the event. If an event is cancelled 30 days prior to the event date, a full refund will be given. If an event is cancelled within 16-29 days prior to the event start date a 50% refund will be given. If an event is cancelled less than 15 days before the event, 100% of the deposit will be forfeited. All cancellations due to mission requirements will be given a full refund if a written document is provided and signed by unit commander.

Service Charges

An 18% service charge will be applied to the total sales of food and beverage for an event.

Cake Service Fee

If your event should require a specialty cake from outside, we will charge a flat fee of $1 per guest. This service includes cutting, serving, plates, and silverware.

BEVERAGE SERVICE

We offer two styles of beverage service for your event. You may order straight from the menu such as punch bowls, wine carafes, or non-alcoholic selections, or we can set up a private bar for you and your guests.

We enforce responsible drinking and insist that you, as the host, help by monitoring your function.

Responsible Individual
If an event approved to be held on-post will include alcoholic beverages, a member of the party must be identified as a “Responsible Individual” to provide adequate supervision during the period of use and consumption.

Responsible Alcoholic Beverage Service
A very clear responsibility exists for the club and its staff as responsible vendors, not to knowingly serve alcoholic beverages to any person who is intoxicated or, who appears to be reaching the point of intoxication. The staff is instructed to refuse service to any individual who appears intoxicated. All guests consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age or older, consistent with local law.

Party Bars
There are three types of bars available for your function. These include:

  • Cash Bar
  • Open Bar
  • Pro-Rate Bar

Party bars carry a $150 sales guarantee per bar for the first hour and $150 sales guarantee per bar for each successive hour. The host will pay a bartender fee of $50 per bar in operation for the number of hours booked. Bars must be booked for a minimum of two hours.

Cash Bar
Each customer pays for his or her own drink as it is ordered. Regular bar prices are in effect.

Open Bar
The host agrees to pay for all drinks served. Drinks are dispensed to the guests free of charge with the host assuming responsibility for payment. The open bar can be limited in its scope, for example, to only serve soft drinks, beer and wine but not liquor.

Pro-Rated Bar
The bar starts out as an open bar but is limited by a pre-determined amount of money or time. Once that dollar amount or time has been reached, the bar can either be closed or continue on a cash bar basis, whichever suits the needs of the host.
