We will have: traditional Korean, German & American crafts, vendors, carnival games, Family activities, Polka band, Eighth Army Band, live entertainment and an Oktoberfest Tent that will be holding contests (like a Best Dressed - Mr. & Mrs. Oktoberfest Contest), and selling delicious Oktoberfest-themed foods and beverages!

Army Ten-Miler Shadow Run

ARMY TEN-MILER SHADOW RUN -- Start/End Point: Balboni Field

Get ready for the yearly Army Ten-Miler Shadow Run! Run as an individual or as a unit. If you run as a unit, there is a minimum of 10 runners required. The first 20 units to finish will receive a streamer! Additionally, every runner will receive a t-shirt (while supplies last)!

There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for Male and Female finishers in each age category below.

Age Catetories:

  • Male/Female (ages 29 and younger)
  • Male/Female (ages 30-39)
  • Male/Female (ages 40-49)
  • Male/Female (ages 50 and older)

Preregistrater by September 30 at any fitness center front desk. Late registration will be available from 8:30-9:45 a.m. on race day.

This run requires extensive raod closures throughout the Garrison. All roads will reopen 2 hours after start time (approximately 12 p.m.) Runners, please assess your ability to complete within the alotted time before registering. Participants will receive a t-shirt while supplies last. No pets or strollers allowed on the course.

HUMPHREYS HOOAH TENT ZONE

SHOW YOUR ARMY SPIRIT!

Suport your team by registering for a "HOOAH" Tent! Hooah Tents began in the early 90s for commands to show their espirit de corps and support their runners at the official Army Ten Miler. We bring the same experience to the Humphreys Shadow Run!
Register your HOOAH Tent before September 30 by emailing our Sports, Finess and Aquatics Chief. The first 8 units to register will be provided a canopy. All other unit registrations must provide their own canopy.
Space is limited - so don't wait and register today!

MWR FACILITIES

The following facilities will be closed on October 5 in support of the Humphreys Harvest Festival and will resume normal working hours on the following day, October 6. Click on the facilities below to go to their page for their hours of operation.

In support of the event and the Army Ten-Miler Shadow Run and Humphreys Harvest Festival, the following roads will either be closed or have limited access at the times listed below on October 5. Please be advised that there may be delays.

Inclement Weather

Keep an eye out on this page (at the top) for the inclement weather call the day-of the event.

In the case of poor weather, all of the activities, contests and contracted entertainment will be relocated to the Collier Community Fitness Center. Carnival rides and inflatables will be canceled due to limited space. Additionally, food and beverage sales (such as MWR beverages, food trucks, vendors, etc.) will be limited.
