Teen Babysitting Course

This standardized babysitting program incorporates local youths from military Families to enhance the sense of community and build important life skills for future leaders.

The U.S. Army Child & Youth Services Babysitters' Program enhances Solders' sense of well-being in the field by providing a common Army-supported service during school out hours that will enable the teen to legally take care of children. The standardized Babysitters' Program incorporates local youths from military Families to enhance the sense of community among the garrisons and build important life skills for future leaders.

  • Local youths are able to increase their community involvement by assisting parents in need of trained childcare professionals.
  • This course is a standard one-time training curriculum that will be honored at any military installation world-wide.
  • Soldiers get an opportunity to maintain a secure Family environment as well as experience a decrease in distractions during military exercises.
  • Military Families are given an avenue to receive quality childcare when needed by trained teen babysitters.
  • The Babysitters' Program offers a short-term childcare solution for military Families who need supplemental support at home.

The class runs from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on April 5 - 6 at Bldg. 693. Must attend both days.

Registration Information

Registeration Deadline: March 15-30

Register at Parent Central Services (Bldg. 6400, 2nd floor). Babysitters must be 12-18 years old. Minimum 5 babysitters needed to hold class.
