Tis the Season! Join the community as we celebrate our annual Tree Lighting Celebration! Everyone is invited to come! After the lighting of the Tree, there will be activities inside of Downtown Recreation Center, Downtown Lanes Bowling Center and Arts & Crafts Center.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

  • 5:10-5:25 p.m.: Humphreys Middle School Band
  • 5;30-5:35 p.m.: Humphreys Middle School Choir
  • 5:40-5:45 p.m.: Girl Scouts' Choir Music Selections
  • 5:50 p.m.: MWR Welcoming Remarks with Eighth Army Band
  • 5:55 p.m.: Holiday Greetings/Invocation (Garrison Chaplain)
  • 6:00 p.m.: Leadership Remarks and Countdown

Upon completion of the lighting of the tree, there will be crafts, Santa photos, Exchange vendors and activities located inside the Downtown Recreation Center, family crafts at the Arts & Crafts Center and the Holiday Pin Contest Winner Announcement and Pajama Bowling at the Downtown Lanes Bowling Center.

  • Gingerbread House Making
    • $20 per kit at Downtown Recreation Center
  • DIY Ornament Making (Open Studio)
    • Decorate your home with handmade crafts or send it to precious friends as a gift. Items vary. Pick and decorate a kit at the Center or take it home.
    • $5 to $20 (depending on items) at Arts & Crafts Center
  • Winter Holiday Wreath Making Workshop
    • Create your own one-of-a-kind wreath using fresh, undying plant ingredients to enrich your holiday (Alder wood wreath; 18" diameter)
    • $40 (includes instruction and materials) at Arts & Crafts Center
    • Sessions: 11 a.m. | 1 p.m. | 3 p.m.
    • Reservation required. Sign-up by December 1, Noon (Minimum 3/Maximum 12 patrons per session).
  • Letters to Santa
    • Decorative materials and paper will be provided.
  • Bowling Pin Decorating Contest
    • Pick up a pin through November 24. The deadline to submit your pin is December 1. Winners announced December 3 at 7 p.m.
  • Pajama Bowling
    • Cosmic Lights, Live DJ and Red Pin Moonlight Bowling. Dress in your favorite pajamas to get 1 FREE game of bowling!
  • Spin the Wheel
    • A chance to win a prize!
