Whether you’re a novice or expert, the USAG Humphreys Arts and Crafts Center staff can help you uncover or enhance your artistic talents. The center offers a variety of classes for users of all ages, custom professional framing, painting events, do-it-yourself studio hours, group events and birthday parties.

ARTS & CRAFTS QUALIFICATION COURSES

Sewing Machine Orientation
Orientation teaches sewing basics and safety with a hands-on beginner's sewing project.

Completion of orientation mandatory prior to attending sewing classes and events.

Learn how to safely use the Arts & Crafts Woodshop. This is essential safety training and instructions for the woodworking machines including but not limited to: table saw, band saw, panel saw, router, grinder, drill press, wood lathe, miter saw, scroll saw, jointer, shaper, planer, chisel press and belt/disc sander. This training is required in order to utilize the Woodshop. After training, students will be issued qualification card and use for Open Facility.

NOTE: Customers who have made a reservation must complete payment of tuition by 5 pm (Fri) 2 days before class. If payment is not made during this period, the reservation will be automatically cancelled. In addition, refunds are not available for cancellations on the day of class based on business hours.

Cost:

  • $20 per person

Date & Time:

  • Sundays, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Registration Information:

  • Registration required. Maximum of 9 seats per class. Class is approximately 1.5 hours.

Explore the art of 3D printing in this introductory class on utilizing this new form of art and technology. Learn the basics of 3D model preparation on the computer and how to utilize the 3D printers available in the lab.

NOTE: Customers who have made a reservation must complete payment of tuition by 5 pm (Wed, Sun) 2 days before class. If payment is not made during this period, the reservation will be automatically cancelled. In addition, refunds are not available for cancellations on the day of class based on business hours.

Cost:

  • $15 per person (Ages 10-17)

Date & Time:

  • Thursdays, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Ages 10-17)
  • Fridays, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Ages 18 and up)

Registration Information:

  • This class is required in order to use the DIY capabilities of the 3D Print Lab. If the minimum of 2 participants are not met, the class may be canceled. Maximum 3 participants.

Quilt as you learn!
These Quilt-As-You-Go workshops provide a hands-on learning experience with quilting projects that will teach and strengthen quilting skills.

Creating your own masterpiece is as easy as 1-2-3! With our easy-to-follow instructions you too, can paint like a pro!

There are opportunities to learn about Korean traditional culture and arts at the Arts and Crafts Center. Ancient Korean ancestors used ink drawings to cultivate their spirit, calm their minds, and maintain momentum in their daily lives. We provide an opportunity to enliven daily life and prepare for tomorrow through unfamiliar art.

Pick-It & Paint-it Ceramic

Ceramic and Pottery Lab

Pick out a ready-to-paint cast ceramic piece and paint it any way you want. Arts & Crafts has something for everyone, from little animals to pots! Cost varies and includes ceramic, paint, glazing and firing.

Design your Own DIY Craft

Multi-Purpose Lab

Possible DIY crafts include: masks, fabric animals, picture frames, piggy banks, bird houses, table mirrors, dinosaurs, small ornaments, bag decorations, fabric dolls and more! Cost varies and includes craft and paints.

A birthday party at the Arts and Crafts Center is fun, memorable and affordable. Our birthday adventure is only $5 to $10 per child, with a maximum of 15 children.

  • The prices include a one-hour art project.
  • Private room is available for 2 hours.
  • Refreshments and room decorations are not provided.
  • Make a reservation and select project at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • Please call the Arts and Crafts Center for any other inquiries.

POTTERY CLASS COMING SOON

POTTERY WHEEL COURSE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE

One-time class is designed to offer people a chance to get dirty and try their hand at using a pottery wheel. 

One hour long and includes basic instruction for beginners on how to use a potter wheel. Limited space available.
